AutoGyro Poland

About us

The official AutoGyro gyroplane distributor in Poland — based in Kraków.

AutoGyro Poland

AutoGyro Poland sp. z o.o. is a Kraków-based company representing the German gyroplane manufacturer AutoGyro GmbH in Poland. Our aim is to bring Polish customers a technology that has proven itself worldwide for more than twenty years — in recreational aviation as well as in professional operations.

We support our customers at every stage:

  • advice — we help you choose the model, version and equipment for your missions,
  • sales — we handle the purchase of AutoGyro gyroplanes in Poland,
  • professional use — we prepare configurations for institutions and public services, including the Cavalon Sentinel surveillance platform,
  • technical support — we coordinate maintenance and access to documentation and spare parts,
  • cooperation — we are building a network of instructors, trainers and maintenance technicians in Poland.

We present our gyroplanes at key industry events — in September 2026 we exhibited the Cavalon Sentinel at the International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Kielce.

The manufacturer: AutoGyro GmbH

AutoGyro leads the world in gyroplane design, production and sales. Since 2003, more than 3,200 aircraft have left the factory in Hildesheim, Germany — the highest market share in the industry. Every model is engineered in-house, and more than 90% of components are made by the company itself. AutoGyro is the only manufacturer approved for commercial gyroplane operations and is present in over 40 countries.

How it all started

In 2003 Thomas Kiggen, a flight instructor from Höxter, and Michael Ullrich wanted to fly gyroplanes in Germany — but none were approved at the time. Together with entrepreneur Otmar Birkner they created the MT-03, the first gyroplane built and certified in Germany to the ultralight gyroplane airworthiness requirements (BUT). The name MT-03 stands for M(ichael), T(homas) and (20)03.

Series production began in 2004 — first for Germany, then for Europe and the rest of the world. In 2006 the MT-03 received UK Type Approval as the first modern factory-built gyroplane, opening many new markets for AutoGyro.

A growing family of models

  • 2008 — MTOsport: the successor to the MT-03, a tandem gyroplane that came to dominate flight schools.
  • 2009 — Calidus: the world's first factory-built two-seat enclosed tandem gyroplane.
  • Cavalon: the answer to pilots who wanted to sit side by side with their passenger — today one of the most highly regarded gyroplanes in the world.

Fun fact: “gyroplane” is the internationally recognised regulatory term for this type of aircraft. “Gyrocopter” originated as a trade name used by Dr Igor Bensen in the 1950s.

Partner network

AutoGyro serves customers worldwide through a network of partners who — depending on the country — handle new aircraft sales, liaison with national aviation authorities, flight training, spare parts supply and maintenance. In Poland, this role is fulfilled by AutoGyro Poland.
